SAGE Interior Design
A website for a commercial interior design firm in Kelowna. Built so developers, owners and project teams can see the work that matches their project and get in touch without hunting.

SAGE Interior Design is an interior design consulting firm in Kelowna that works on commercial, multifamily, healthcare, long-term care and institutional projects across British Columbia. I rebuilt their website so the people who hire them, mostly developers, owners and other consultants, can find relevant past work by sector, check credentials and send an enquiry in a few clicks.

The brief
SAGE does not sell to homeowners. Their clients are developers, property managers, care operators and architects who want to know three things: has this firm done my kind of project, are they qualified, and how do I reach them. The site had to show a large body of work in a way that is easy to sort, make the firm’s credentials obvious, and give each type of project a page that can be found in search. It also had to look as considered as the interiors SAGE designs.
How I built it
- 01What the firm does, on the first screen. The hero says it plainly: design, documentation and delivery for commercial, multifamily and institutional projects, from concept through closeout. Credentials and professional affiliations sit right under it, because that is one of the first things a developer or owner checks.
- 02A page for every sector. Multifamily residential, long-term care, healthcare, commercial interiors, hospitality, education and institutional, and FF&E each have their own page with the projects from that sector. Someone who builds care homes sees care homes, not a mixed gallery they have to dig through.
- 03Every project gets its own page. The Selected Projects page filters by sector and opens a lightbox, and each project links to a page that covers what it was, what SAGE did on it and who else was on the team. Those pages give the firm something specific to show up for beyond its own name.
- 04A dedicated tenant improvement page. Commercial TI work is a big part of what SAGE does, so it got its own page with the services, the delivery process and featured TI projects, written around the searches a property manager or tenant would actually make.
- 05Photos handled properly. SAGE’s project photography goes through a build step that makes AVIF and WebP versions at gallery and thumbnail sizes, so the images stay sharp without making the pages slow on a phone. There is also a printable capabilities summary with a downloadable PDF for procurement packages.
- 06A contact path that does not quietly fail. The enquiry form is short, and it sends through the site’s own handler with a backup service behind it, so a message still arrives if one route has a problem. On a phone, a call and enquire bar stays at the bottom of the screen.

The outcome
A developer looking for a designer on a care home or a multifamily build can land on the page for that sector, see the projects, check the credentials and send an enquiry, without reading through work that has nothing to do with them. The capabilities PDF is one click away for anyone putting together a shortlist.
The sector, project and tenant improvement pages give the site far more to be found for than the firm’s name alone. These are features of the work. I am not publishing a traffic or enquiry increase without measured results.
