The brief.

Amend does high-end residential renovation across Kelowna and the Okanagan · gut renovations, custom kitchens, built-in millwork, and the finish carpentry most people only notice when it is done badly. Jason has twenty years behind him and a 5.0 on Google, but the old site read like a brochure and buried all of it. The rebuild had to make the quality legible in seconds to someone who cannot tell good trim from bad, separate four services that get searched four different ways, and settle the question that actually stops homeowners booking: what is it like having these people in my house for six weeks.

How I built it.

  • 01A headline that sells the feeling, not the trade. "Built to be lived in and loved" over a real finished kitchen · because nobody books a six-week renovation on the strength of a contractor listing their services. The work has to look like somewhere you want to live before anything else happens.
  • 02Three credibility facts directly under the fold: locally owned in Kelowna, 20+ years of craftsmanship, rated 5.0 on Google. Short, checkable, and answering the first thing a homeowner wonders about a contractor they have never met.
  • 03Four services, split properly. Custom home renovations, kitchens, cabinetry and built-ins, and finish carpentry each get their own card and their own page, because those are four different searches at four different budgets. A single "renovations" page competes for none of them well.
  • 04The founder speaks in his own voice. A pull quote from Jason rather than a paragraph of agency copy: "we build the backdrop for your family’s most important moments." People hire the person, so the person should be on the page.
  • 05The nervous questions answered before they are asked. Clean job sites, accurate budgets, permits handled, consistent updates · four trust points placed exactly where the doubt happens, then a four-step process that shows the shape of the job from consultation to final walkthrough.
  • 06Phone number in the header, quote button beside it, on every screen. This trade closes on the phone, so the number never scrolls away.

The outcome.

Amend now looks like the calibre of work it does, which sounds obvious and is the whole problem with most trades websites · the build quality is invisible online and the site ends up arguing for it in adjectives. Here the photography does that job, and the copy is left free to handle the practical worries instead.

Structurally it is built to grow. Four service pages compete for four separate searches, the project gallery takes a new job every time one finishes, and the whole thing is plain enough for Google and the AI answer engines to read what Amend does and where.

The build is finished and live on its staging URL. It goes to amenddevelopments.com once Amend point the domain across · no result to report until then, and none claimed here.
