Website redesign · Canada

Website redesign for small businesses.

A website redesign replaces a site that looks dated, is hard to update, or has stopped bringing in enquiries, without throwing away what already works. I'm Bryce Elliot, and I rebuild small business websites as custom-coded sites for businesses across Canada. I keep the pages that bring you search traffic, redirect the addresses that change, and launch when you approve it. Prices are $1,500 to $4,900, and stores start at $6,500.

Different businesses, different jobs for the website.

What a website redesign includes

A look at the current site first
Before any design work, I list the pages that bring in search traffic and enquiries, using Search Console and your analytics where you have them. That list decides what stays, what gets merged, and what goes.
A new design and structure
A custom design built around your services and the one thing you want a visitor to do next. Mobile and tablet layouts, clear navigation, and two rounds of consolidated revisions.
Content carried over properly
Useful service details, answers and project information move across. Copy that is outdated or unclear gets rewritten. The $4,900 business-site scope includes copywriting.
Redirects and search foundations
Useful URLs stay the same. Pages that change get a permanent redirect to the closest matching page, so links and rankings carry over as much as possible. Titles, descriptions, internal links, the sitemap and structured data are set before launch.
Launch checks
Forms, phone links, booking tools, tracking, indexing and loading behaviour are tested before the new site goes live. After launch I check Search Console for errors and watch the pages that used to bring in enquiries.
You own the result
You own the paid-for site, and your domain stays in your name. Care plans are optional at $79 to $249 a month, or you can host it yourself. Website maintenance explains what care covers.
Price
Landing pages start at $1,500. Business websites are $3,900 to $4,900 for up to ten pages. Stores start at $6,500. CAD, plus applicable GST/HST. Your written quote confirms the pages, features and timeline before work starts.

Outgrown Squarespace or Wix?

Squarespace and Wix are fine places to start, and plenty of businesses outgrow them. The site gets slow, the template fights you, or you need pages the builder was never set up for. I don't build on Squarespace or Wix. Every site I make is custom-coded.

When you move to a custom site, I copy across the content worth keeping, rebuild the pages around your services, and set up redirects from the old addresses to the new ones so the rankings you have earned carry over. Nobody can promise rankings stay exactly where they were, but planned redirects and careful launch checks avoid the usual losses. My website redesign SEO checklist lists what I check.

If you want to keep changing layouts yourself every week, staying on a builder may suit you better, and I'll say so on the call rather than sell you a rebuild you don't need. I compared both in web designer vs Squarespace or Wix.

For an example, SAGE Interior Design is a Kelowna consultancy whose website I rebuilt so the developers and owners who hire them can find past work by sector and get in touch quickly. If you searched for website redesign near me, I'm in Lake Country, BC, and I work with businesses anywhere in Canada over calls and screen shares.

A website with one clear job.

For a business launching, replacing an outdated site, or making enquiries easier. We agree on the pages, features, copywriting, and two rounds of consolidated design revisions before work starts. A business site usually takes three to six weeks once content and access are ready; integrations and larger builds are scoped separately.

What we need from you
Your services, brand assets, existing domain access, and approved photos. Client photos, Bryce’s iPhone photography, or a quoted professional shoot are all options.
How we review the work
We check mobile layouts, forms, accessibility, and loading behaviour before launch. After launch, inquiries and bookings matter more than a test score. You own the paid-for site and can choose a care plan or your own hosting.

Compare the scope, not the price

A lower quote can leave work out. A higher one can include work you don’t need. Compare what each one actually delivers, then decide.

  • A redesign is priced like a new build, because the site is rebuilt rather than reskinned. Landing pages start at $1,500, business websites are $3,900 to $4,900 for up to ten pages, and stores start at $6,500. CAD, plus applicable GST/HST. Your written quote confirms the pages, features and timeline.

  • It can if important pages disappear or addresses change without redirects. I record the pages that bring in traffic before I start, keep useful URLs, and redirect the ones that change. That lowers the risk a lot, but nobody can promise rankings stay exactly where they were.

  • Yes. I don't build on Squarespace or Wix, so the move is to a custom-coded site. I carry over the content worth keeping and redirect the old page addresses to the new ones. If you would rather keep editing layouts yourself, a builder may suit you better, and I will tell you that on the call.

  • A business site usually takes three to six weeks once content and access are ready. A landing page can be faster. The schedule depends on the agreed scope, your approvals, and access to the current site and domain.

  • No. Useful service details, answers and project information carry over. I rewrite what is outdated or unclear, and copywriting is included in the $4,900 business-site scope.

  • Yes. I am based in Lake Country, BC, and I redesign websites for businesses across Canada remotely, with calls, screen shares and design reviews online.
